Every year during the time of summer season, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, sends mangoes as a part of goodwill to the Chief Minister of Tripura.

This unique form of diplomacy, centered around the exchange of mangoes, has proven to be a powerful tool for building bridges, friendships and cultivating goodwill between two neighboring countries.

This year also, the PM of Bangladesh sent 500 kilograms of Mangoes for the Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha.

On Thursday, these delicately wrapped and packed mangoes reached Agartala via the Agartala-Akhaura Integrated Check post.

CM Saha expressed his exuberance after receiving mangoes from the Officials of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala.

Took to his Twitter, Chief Minister wrote, “Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has sent the country’s delicious mangoes as a gift. This evening the officials of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala came to the official residence and handed over this gift to me. On behalf of the people of Tripura, I express my sincere thanks to you”.

It is learned that recently the Prime Minister of Bangladesh sent mangoes for the President, the Prime Minister of India, and the Chief Minister of West Bengal, along with other Chief Ministers of North-Eastern States.
