Agartala: In a significant relief for Tripura footballer Parvez Bhuiya, the Indian Football Association (IFA) has revoked the one-year suspension imposed on him by the Tripura Football Association (TFA), terming the order “illegal.”
Parvez, a national-level player representing Blood Mouth Club, had been sidelined without a show-cause notice, preventing him from participating in the ongoing league. The IFA’s decision followed a prolonged hearing, with the official order shared publicly by Blood Mouth Club officials at a press conference attended by Debashis Bhattacharjee, Bimal Ray Chowdhury, and other management members.
Club representatives criticised certain TFA officials, accusing them of unethical conduct and calling for their resignation. They also alleged that such behaviour had been directed toward several players and clubs in the past.
Blood Mouth Club has demanded ₹5 lakh in compensation each for Parvez and the club, citing financial losses due to the suspension. The IFA ruling, they said, has exposed longstanding irregularities within the TFA.
