Tripura is all set to host the G20 Science summit. The theme for this G20 summit is ” Clean Energy for a Greener Future.” The G20 meeting will take place in Agartala from April 3 to 4, and on Friday, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha oversaw all of the preparations at the Secretariat.
The main G20 Science summit will be held in the indoor exhibition hall of the Hapania International Fair Ground. The G20 delegates will arrive in the state on April 2 at noon. The delegation will go to Kumaritila for Musical Fountain and Albert Ekka Park in the afternoon. On April 3, the first session of the conference ‘Science 20’ will begin at 9 am at the Indoor Exhibition Hall of the International Fair Grounds. The second session will include the opening of the exhibition stalls, press conferences, and investor meetings.
The ICA Department will host a cultural programme and light and sound show at Ujjayanta Palace that day in the evening. Secretary of I&C Abhishek Chandra said that a yoga session has been organized at Oxygen Park on April 4 at 6:30 AM. The G20 delegates will be present at the yoga session there. For that purpose yoga instructors and announcers have already been given the necessary training. Apart from this, Oxygen Park has been beautified and plantation arrangements have been made for the delegates of the G20 countries. The secretary said that on April 4, the representatives of G-20 countries would visit Purbasha, Sepahijala Zoological Park, and Neermahal. As a result, those locations are urgently undergoing rehabilitation and beautification.
The Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport has been exquisitely decked to greet the G-20 delegations. From MBB Airport to Hotel Polo Tower, the road is being cleaned and lit up on both sides. To further enhance the city’s beauty, several murals are also painted on the walls and decorated with lights and colour.
