Tripura Recruitment Drive: Major Job Boost in Education and Health Sectors Ahead of Durga Puja

In a significant move just before Durga Puja, the Tripura government has announced large-scale recruitment in the education and health sectors. The state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, approved the recruitment of 1,615 teachers to address the ongoing shortage in government schools.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared that the decision was finalized during a cabinet meeting held at the state secretariat in Agartala. The recruitment will be carried out by the Tripura Teachers Recruitment Board (TRBT), aiming to fill vacant positions for both graduate and postgraduate teachers.

Of the total 1,615 teaching posts, 700 will be for Graduate Teachers (GT) assigned to classes IX and X, while 915 will be for Postgraduate Teachers (PGT) for classes XI and XII.

Chief Minister Manik Saha also took to the social media platform X, stating, “The state cabinet has approved the recruitment of 700 graduate teachers to strengthen our education system and ensure quality learning. We are committed to expanding employment opportunities and building a better Tripura.”

The recruitment is part of a broader initiative to enhance the quality of education across secondary and higher secondary schools in the state.

In addition to strengthening the education sector, the state government has also approved new appointments in healthcare. Six new medical officers will be recruited under the Department of Health and Family Welfare to improve services in both urban and rural health centers.

Furthermore, the cabinet has sanctioned the hiring of 37 academic and administrative staff for the National Law University. These posts include Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors, which will be filled as per the university’s recruitment policies.

These strategic appointments are expected to improve public services and employment opportunities across Tripura significantly.
