
For numerous development projects in Tripura covering a wide range of industries, including tourism, agriculture, industry, human resource development, transportation, science and technology, irrigation, water management, and cultural preservation, the North Eastern Council (NEC) has approved a total of Rs. 14.22 crore. The ICA Department said in a press release that a total of Rs. 10.71 lakh has been set up for the establishment of pig breeding farms in Jalepha (South Tripura) and Hawai Bari (Khowai). Raishyabari RD Block will receive Rs. 1.54 crore, while Ganganagar RD Block will receive Rs. 1.10 crore for service delivery projects.Rs. 1 crore has been allocated for pond excavation and rehabilitation of water bodies to increase fish production. With Rs. 2 crore, six integrated seed processing plants are to be established. Two contemporary agricultural markets will be developed with Rs. 3 crore, and an Integrated Pack House in Dhalai will be built with Rs. 80 lakh. Additional funding includes Rs. 30 lakh for new infrastructure at Vivekananda Tripureswari Vidya Mandir and Rs. 1.51 crore for brooder homes and poultry hatcheries. Other projects include solar-powered irrigation for orchid gardens, a chemistry conference, GI workshops, and a health economics winter school.
