Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a review meeting on the law and order situation in the state along with the State’s Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, and Sub-Divisional Police Officers.

Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and other Senior Officers were present in this meeting held at the Tripura Police Head Office this afternoon.

During interactions, Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction and said that the law and order situation in the state is now in a much better position which has emerged from the review meeting. He also mentioned the State’s crime rate which was the fifth lowest in the nation in a 2021 survey by the National Crime Records Bureau.

After the review meeting, speaking to the media CM Saha said the Opposition Political parties are complaining that law and order have deteriorated in the state. But that’s not right. He also claimed that Law and order situation in the state has improved a lot since 2018 and also a sharp decline in overall crimes.
 
Specifically in the meeting Chief Minister said the Assembly Election of the state is to be held within the next few months in which he instructed the Police Officials to ensure the law and order in the State under any circumstances. He also further stated that disruption of law and order will not be tolerated.
