106-years-old Shyam Saran Negi, the first voter of Independent India, passed away on November 5 in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur.

Recently, he cast his vote on November 2 for the 34th time for the state’s Assembly Polls through a postal ballot.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Saturday travelled to his village in Kalpa Kinnaur and paid him floral tributes.
