STATE: Six Police personnel from Tripura have been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM) on the occasion of Independence Day, 2023.

The Awardees of Police Medal for Meritorious Service are Krishnendu Chakravertty, DIGP Crime And Intelligence, Agartala, Raju Das, NB Subedar, Ramchandraghat, Khowai, Paban Debnath, Havildar, Santirbazar, Babul Ghosh, Head Constable, Narsingarh, Sudarshan Das, Assistant Commandant, Jampuijala, and Pintu Das, NB Subedar, Santirbazar, South Tripura.

The Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM) is awarded for valuable service characterized by resource and devotion to duty.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated police personnel on X.

CM shared, “Heartiest congratulations to the following officers & personnel of @TripuraPolice for being awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day.”

A total of 954 Police personnel have been awarded Police Medals this year. While the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG) has been awarded to 01 CRPF personnel, Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) has been awarded to 229, 82 have been awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM), and 642 has been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM).
